Good prognosis after calcaneal fracture in childhood

Fifteen children who sustained a displaced intraarticular calcaneal fracture, treated closed, were reexamined after 12 (1–29) years. All were satisfactory, although slight inconvenience was encountered as a result of the fracture. Immobilization and nonweight bearing from 4 to 6 weeks seem sufficient to treat a calcaneal fracture in children.Downloads
