At the recent Congress in Malmö, the General Assembly unanimously decided to make The Scandinavian Orthopedic Association a federal organization for the five national orthopedic societies in Scandinavia, the presidents of the societies being members of the Board. Anders Walløe was elected Secretary General after Ian Goldie who had served for 12 (!) years, Jørgen Lauritzen was elected President, and Pär Slätis Vice President after his 6 years as President of the Board of Acta Orthopaedica Scandinavica. Finally, Gunnar Thór Jónsson was elected President of the next biannual Congress of the Association to be held in Reykjavik, Iceland, June 9-12, 1994.Downloads
